Nguyễn Thị Năm

Năm Nguyễn Thị (539031095) is a 40-year-old female living in the town of Ý Yên. She is married and has three school-aged children. To make a living, Năm owns and operates an agricultural business raising livestock. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes from raising cattle for sale. Năm has been engaged in this business for over ten years and earns approximately 4,100,000 VND a month from these activities.

In 2002, Năm joined Kiva partner, TYM Fund, to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Năm has successfully repaid a previous loan of 9,000,000 VND from TYM Fund. This previous loan was used to invest in expanding her business. Năm is now requesting a new loan of 9,000,000 VND, which will be used to purchase breeding livestock. The loan will her sixth from TYM Fund. Năm plans to use the additional revenue generated to improve and expand her business.
