Chanthol Chheng

Mrs. Chanthol Chheng, 40, and her husband, Mr. Sarun Chheng, 47, were married in 1985 and have five children: three sons and two daughters. One of their daughters is a garment factory worker, three children are in school and the other one is still too young. The family lives in a small village along National Road Number Five about seventeen kilometers from Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia.

Chanthol has been selling onsorm cake for fish for three years (onsorm is a kind of Cambodian cake that has rice, coconut with soybean and pork in the middle). She buys ingredients in the market in Phnom Penh to make onsorm at her house and carry it to sell in the market in Phnom Penh. Her husband has been a house builder for over two years.

Chanthol is requesting a loan of $500 to landfill and concrete her house foundation.
