Niagnéguéton 3 is comprised of women of the Sinsina Sesso hamlet of the town of Koutiala (third region of Mali) who live in big traditional families and have an average age of 38 and at least 6 children, on average.

To satisfy their needs in terms of seed, entrants, and wages for agricultural workers for cultivating peanuts and millet, the members of the group decided to join the loan program of Soro Yiriwaso, four years ago (four rural loans). All the preceding loans have been correctly reimbursed.

The present loan will be used to buy a sufficient quantity of peanut and millet seeds, entrants, and to pay the cost of agricultural workers. The workers are essentially local. The women buy entrants and seeds at the market in Koutiala. After the rainy season, the harvests are stocked for a time so that they gain in value before being sold. They sell cereals in all the markets around Koutiala and in the big open-air market.

Each of the women of the Niagnéguéton 3 group expects to make a profit of 80,000 F CFA after the sale of the harvest. Besides reimbursing the loan, they will use a part of the income to cover current family expenses.
