Zeenat Muhammad Younas Group

Zeenat Baji sews clothes for her neighbors to earn income. Recently, her relatives have also started giving her orders. She learned this art from her mother. Her husband, Muhammad Younas, drives an auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle). Zeenat Baji is a very sensitive lady. She doesn’t want to leave all the financial burden to her husband; therefore she chooses a sewing business. They have been living in Yadgar, Pakistan, a historical place, for the past 10 years. Zeenat Baji is a very hardworking lady. She is applying for a loan to buy an electric sewing machine so that she can complete dresses on time and earn more money.

Zeenat Baji is the leader of a group with four other women from her locality. Hafizan Baji wants a loan to buy cell phones to sell. Bushra Baji wants a loan to buy chairs, tables and table covers for her catering business. The other Bushra Baji wants a loan to buy seasonal vegetables to sell. The last Bushra Baji wants a loan to repair her auto-rickshaw.

This is a group loan. The funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
