Mrs. Thom Lorn is 40 years old and is married with 5 children. She makes her living by growing rice crops and some kinds of vegetables in her field which scarcely makes enough money to support her five children
(one of whom sells live pigs in and to a nearby village, while the rest are in school). To service all the family needs, her husband (pictured here with his business) helps to make additional income by selling live pigs from one village to another. Thom Lorn is asking for $1000 loan to invest in her husband's business by purchasing more pigs and a motor-bike to transport them for outdoor selling. With this business activity, Thom Lorn thinks it is possible for her and her family to meet their needs.

Mrs. Thom Lorn is one of the family lives in Prey Veng province, Cambodia. Her village is a few miles a way from the down town where she and her husband work planting rice and raising pigs for resell. Mrs. Thom first heard about CREDIT from her neighbors, telling about a very low interest 2.50 percent a month. So she decided to loan to expand her business by purchasing more piglets to breed and resell when they mature. The loan also helped purchased motorbike to transfer pigs to sell outdoor. The daily income has been increased since the loan and now she can save to purchase feed in bulk. .
