Araba Awartwe is married and has five dependents. She has received schooling through primary school. Her husband is a fishmonger.

Araba sells smoked fish in small quantities in Elmina, which she has done since 2003. She uses her income to support her husband in paying the children’s school fees.

Araba will use the loan to buy more fresh fish, smoke the fish, and sell it in small quantities. With the new profits from her expanded business, she plans to save and pay the children’s school fees.
