Akua Amankwaa

Akua Amankwaa is a food vendor. She runs a chop bar. She prepares and sells all kinds of local dishes at her restaurant. She buys food items such as cassava, plantain, rice and other ingredients from the local market. She is 44 years of age, divorced and the mother of three children – one daughter and two sons. She says her children are in senior high and primary schools. She lives with the children in a rented apartment in a very busy commercial town called Goaso in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. Akua has been in business for one year now and wants a loan to procure goods in bulk. Akua is hoping to expand her business and increase her profit margin. It is her desire to sponsor her children through school to high levels.
