Jérôme Okito became a micro-entrepreneur in 1982. He began by selling flip-flops with an initail capital of US$ 5. From 1993-1997, he tried out various commercial activities, notably exchanging currencies, selling maize, and selling charcoal.

In 2006, he bought his first mill. At the end of two years and thanks to the profit from that mill, he was able to buy a second that he still uses today. His business is situated in a northern district, the most populous of Kinshasa. In vue of his growing clientele, Jérôme has planned to use this month-of-May loan to buy a third mill so as to further increase his earnings. Presently, his business is bringing in a profit of US$ 75 per week.

The difficulty he encounters in his business is untimely power outages. Jérôme intends to buy a generator with later loans so as to be able to serve his clients at all times and thus earn more money. He is 43, married and father of 3 children, aged between 5 and 12. Only two are enrolled in school. He is a faithful member of one of the HOPE DRC groups named "Abraham". His dream is to open a real flour mill for the people living in his district.

Jérôme Okito est devenu micro entrepreneur depuis 1982. Il avait commencé à vendre des babouches avec un capital initial de $5. De 1993 en 1997, il est passé par plusieurs activités commerciales notamment l’échange des monnaies, la vente de maїs et des braises. En 2006, il décide de s’acheter le premier moulin lequel au bout de deux ans et grâce aux bénéfices accumulés lui ont permis de s’acheter un deuxième jusqu’à ce jour. Ses activités se situent dans un quartier nordique et le plus peuplé de Kinshasa. Vu le nombre croissant de sa clientèle, Jérôme a planifié d’acheter avec le crédit du mois de mai courant un troisième moulin en vue d’accroitre le revenu. Actuellement, son affaire lui génère un bénéfice de $75 par semaine. La difficulté qu’il rencontre dans son activité est la coupure intempestive de l’électricité. Jérôme pense s’acheter avec les prochains crédits un groupe électrogène dans le but de servir à tout moment ses clients et générer plus de bénéfice. Il est âgé de 43 ans, marié et père de 3 enfants âgés de 5 à 12 ans. Deux seulement d’entre eux vont à l’école. Il est membre fidèle d’un des groupes de Hope RDC dénommé « Abraham ». Son rêve est d’ouvrir un jour une petite minoterie pour la population de son quartier.
