The village bank, which consists of twenty members, is located in the Dei Eth Koh Phos village of Kandal province. The group members plan to use the requested loan proceeds for a variety of purposes, depending on their business models.

Mrs. Chanthy Doung was selected by her fellow group members to serve as the village bank president. She is a farmer who owns a parcel of land on which she grows vegetables. Unfortunately, she is now facing a few significant obstacles: her field is infertile and there are many insects (which have damaged her vegetables). To solve these problems, she decided to ask for a loan in order to purchase fertilizer and pesticides, which she hopes will ensure that her land is more productive going forward. Her husband, Mr. Em Saran, is a hardworking man. Mrs. Chanthy Doung is 32 years old and is the mother of three children, all of whom are enrolled in the local school.

Mrs. Ol Sokh and Mrs. Kem Ie Son (both pictured) are not seeking a loan, but their husbands are requesting a portion of the loan proceeds.
