Teófilo, 51, is married and has nine children. Four of the children no longer live with them because they have formed their own families. The five younger children live with him and his wife in their own home. Teófilo and his wife keep working to give them an education.

His daily work is buying, raising, and selling sheep. He gets up very early in the morning to cut the oats that he feeds the sheep. He then takes them to the fields where they will eat fresh grass to help them develop in less time and to easily fatten them. Their size and weight are what matters when he sells them.

On his days off he plants potatoes, peas, and oats to cover the feeding expenses and the expenses of educating his children. His children and wife help him with the planting. However, the most profitable for Teófilo is selling the meat from his animals. He spends most of his time on that. He is pleased with the good earnings he gets. Also, there are months that this business is much more profitable. This is allowing him to stay alert to getting a stall in the market in the city of Tarma. He has a good client base after all of these years.

This is his third loan with MFP, and during the two years working with them Teófilo has shown himself to be a punctual client. For this new loan cycle Teófilo promises to keep working responsibly. The 1,500 PEN is to increase his quantity of livestock. He will also buy fields of planted oats to feed his sheep.
