Paquito Sande is from the village of Kinangay, Norte Clarin Misamis Occidental. He is fifty-eight years old and married with three grown children. To make a living, Paquito owns and operates a business venture in the retail sector running a "sari-sari" or general store. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes from selling a variety of different products in the local community. Paquito has been engaged in his business for over six years and earns approximately $23 a month for these activities.

In 2008, Paquito joined the Kiva field partner, GDMPC, to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and his ability to engage in business activities. Paquito has successfully repaid previous loans from GDMPC. He is requesting a new loan to purchase additional products to sell in his "sari-sari" or general store. This loan will be his fourth loan from GDMPC. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the loan to improve his business and to meet his family's basic needs.

About GDMPC:

GDMPC is one of the most progressive cooperatives in Mindanao, Philippines.
