Mamunatu Asamoah

Mamunatu Asamoah is thirty-seven years old. She is married and has given birth to five children, two sons and three daughters. Mamunatu says some are in the junior high school while others are in the primary schools. She lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in a town called Kofiase. Kofiase is a farming/trading community near Dormaa, the district capital, in the Brong Ahafo region. Her husband is a farmer.

Mamunatu is a petty trader. She sells onions. She sells on a table top in the market square. Mamunatu procures her onions from farmers in nearby communities at reasonable prices. She also sells plantains. Mamunatu has been in business for four years and wants a loan to procure goods in bulk. She is hopeful to expand her business and give her children the best education she can afford.
