Jacquie Tshanga's business is selling spices and eggs, and she also has a little restaurant. Her plan is to use her loan this month of May to buy 5 cartons of eggs in hopes of raising the income she makes from her little restaurant.

Jacquie began to sell fritters in 1997 with an initial capital of US$ 2. In 1998, her friend asked her to help make food for her little restaurant near the university, in the north of Kinshasa. Jacquie gained experience during this period and decided to open her own restaurant in 2000.

Working with determination and good management skills, she developed her little business so that she had a working capital of more than US$ 500. In 2001, the city passed a decree forbidding restaurants near the university and put an end to her activity.

From 2001 till today, Jacquie has been selling spices in the market and has opened another restaurant at the same place. In 2006, she decided to join one of the HOPE groups called "Bomoko", which means "unity", hoping to realize her dream of one day opening a grocery store. She is a faithful client of HOPE. She has received 7 loans that she reimbursed in a timely manner.

Jacquie is 30, married and the mother of 2 children aged 8 and 13. Both children go to school. Presently her working capital stands at US$ 900 and her business brings in a profit of US$ 85 per week.

Jacquie Tshanga a comme activité commerciale la vente d’épices, d’œufs, et a aussi un restaurant. Elle a planifié d’acheter avec le crédit de mois de mai courant 5 cartons d’œufs dans le but d’accroitre le revenu de son affaire. Elle a commencé à vendre des beignets en 1997 avec un capital initial de $2. En 1998, son amie lui demande de l’aider à préparer la nourriture dans son restaurant à coté d’une Institution universitaire au nord de Kinshasa. Jacquie acquiert de l’expérience pendant cette période et décide d’ouvrir son propre restaurant en 2000. En travaillant avec détermination et bonne gestion, elle est parvenue à développer son affaire jusqu’à totaliser un capital de plus de $500. En 2001, une mesure de la ville interdit le fonctionnement des restaurants à coté de cette Institution universitaire et mets fin à son activité. De 2001 à ce jour, Jacquie s’est lancée dans la vente d’épices au marché et a ouvert un autre restaurant au même endroit. Elle décide en 2006 d’intégrer un des groupes de Hope dénommé « Bomoko » qui signifie « Unité » en français, en vue de réaliser son rêve d’ouvrir un jour un magasin des denrées alimentaires. Elle est cliente fidèle de Hope, elle a reçu 7 crédits qu’elle a remboursés totalement à temps. Jacquie a 30 ans, mariée et mère de 2 enfants dont leurs âges varient entre 8 et 13 ans. Leurs deux enfants vont à l’école. Actuellement, son capital est de $900 et son affaire lui génère un bénéfice de $ 85 par semaine.
