The Muyurina Village Bank has 15 members and is currently beginning its 17th loan cycle. The group members are from the Muyurina community of Tambillo District and have different businesses. They sell vegetables, basic grocery items and prepared meals; some are farmers.

For example, Julia is 44 years old and married with two children. She has a stand in the recently opened small market, where she sells prepared meals. She also has a farm and travels to different regional markets.

Lidia, another group member, is 42 years old and married with three children. She and her husband grow vegetables, which they sell in the Abastos Market in the city of Ayacucho.

The group members are requesting different loan amounts, like 300, 600 or 900 soles. The village bank is requesting a total of 10,200 soles in loans. Group members will use their loans to buy rice, sugar, pasta, vegetables, seeds and fertilizer and to pay field workers on their farms.

Some of the group members' dreams are to improve their businesses, provide their children with a good education, improve their crop yields and save for the future.
