Jamila begum baji has been a citizen of a mid-size city named Vehari, Pakistan for the past 10 years. She is an uneducated lady; she wanted to study but her father couldn’t pay for her education expenses because he had few financial resources. Her husband is a salesman and sells candies to shops. He has 2 years of experience in this business. She is applying for a loan to buy candies wholesale so that he will be able to sell them to the shopkeepers and earn more income.

She is the group leader for four other women from her locality. Sheena Mahak baji wants a loan to buy medicines to resell. Kishwar baji wants a loan to buy computer spare parts to sell. Shamim Akhtar baji wants a loan to buy clothes to sell. Salma baji wants a loan to buy materials (beads, colored thread) for her decorative embroidery business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
