Jeanne Ganvo

Ganvo Jeanne is 40 years old. She was born in Cana in the township of Abomey in the County of Zou. Jeanne is divorced and the mother of 3 daughters: Chantal, Sylvie, and Lydie, who are all still her responsibility. She lives with her children in Cotonou, economic capital of Benin, in the Missessin district.

For 15 years, Jeanne has been selling cosmetics, fruit, and cocoyams. For 3 years, Jeanne has been taking out loans at ALIDé and has always correctly reimbursed them. She is requesting another loan from ALIDé to use to develop her business further so that she can do better by her children.

The significance of ALIDé in the local language of Benin, Fon, is "there is always a pathway for the poorest of the poor". Benin is a small country in West Africa next door to Nigeria, where the average per capita income stands at US$ 1,500.

GANVO Jeanne est âgée de quarante (40) ans. Jeanne est née à Cana dans la Commune d’Abomey dans le Département du Zou. Jeanne est divorcée et mère de trois (3) filles: Chantal, Sylvie et Lydie qui sont à sa charge. Jeanne vit avec ses enfants à Cotonou, Capitale Économique du Bénin; dans le quartier Missessin. Jeanne vend depuis quinze (15) ans des produits cosmétiques, des fruits et des tubercules d’ignames. Depuis trois ans, Jeanne bénéficie des prêts à ALIDé ; prêts qu’elle a toujours bien remboursés. Jeanne sollicite encore de crédit auprès de ALIDé pour mieux développer son activité afin d’augmenter son revenu pour un mieux être de ses enfants.


La signification de ALIDé en langue locale du Bénin, le Fon, est « un chemin existe toujours pour les plus pauvres ». Le Bénin est un petit pays de l’Afrique de l’Ouest à coté du Nigeria où le PIB par habitant est à $1,500.
