Razia baji is a widow. She has lived in a city famous for its shrines, Borewala, Pakistan, for the past 20 years. Razia baji is a very strong lady. She had totally lost hope after the death of her husband, but she was able to summon up her courage for her kids. She is the mother of four kids: two sons and two daughters. All of her kids are enrolled in a local school and are getting an education. Razia baji operates a vegetable selling business in the community and earns income to pay the school fees of her kids and manage her house. Her family feels proud of her. She is applying for a loan to buy vegetables to expand her business.

She is the group leader of four other women from her locality. Qubra baji wants a loan to buy leather to resell. Sheema baji wants a loan to buy clothes to sell. Shamim baji wants a loan to buy milk to sell. Kalsoom baji wants a loan to buy shoes for her shoe-selling business.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
