Jamila Khanum M. Roshan Group

Jamila khanum baji is married to M. Roshan, and they have been living in Borewala, Pakistan, since past 10 years. Her husband is a painter by profession, who goes to people’s houses to paint when they place an order with him. Jamila baji helps him by sewing clothes. She takes orders from her neighbors and relatives. She does this work to share the financial burden of her husband. She is applying for a loan to buy material (paint brushes, big paint drums) for her husband’s painting business.

She is the group leader of two other women from her locality. Bushran baji wants a loan to buy CDs for her CD shop. Nasira baji wants a loan to change the body of her auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle).

This is a group loan and the loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
