My name is Jamila and I have been residing in a city named Vehari, Pakistan for the past 14 years. My husband’s name is M. Aslam. He runs a cosmetics selling business. He buys cosmetics from different markets and sells to the cosmetics shops. He has 3 years of experience in this business. I have one son and he is enrolled in a local school and is getting an education. I operate a business sewing clothes. Because I want to see my son established in the education field, I am applying for a loan to expand my husband’s cosmetic selling business.

I’m the group leader of three other women from my locality. Nasira baji wants a loan to buy supplies (cooking oil, lentils, and spices) to expand her food selling business. Rafiqan baji wants a loan to buy wood for her furniture making business. Tasneem baji wants a loan to buy old computer parts to sell.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each whom will invest in their own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee.
