TAÏWO Félicienne was born on June 3, 1971 in MAMA, in Atacora County in northern Benin. She is married to KOLA Joachin, a chauffeur by profession, and is the mother of four children (2 girls and 2 boys), all in school and supported by their father. Félicienne and her family live in the LOM-NAVA district in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. She sells yam tubers and onions in front of her home. She has already had three loans from ALIDÉ to develop her business. Félicienne has repaid her loans. To improve her business and to diversify it through the sale of beans, she's requesting a fourth loan from ALIDÉ.

ALIDÉ means “there is always a path for the poorest” in Benin’s local language of Fon. Benin is a small West African country located next to Nigeria and has a per capita GDP of $1,500.
