Behija comes from Grapska, a village near the town of Doboj. Behija was a refugee for a long time. Finally, four years ago, she came back to her house. She then worked extensively to fix her destroyed house.

She lives alone. She earns a living working a garden that produces vegetables. She keeps some of her produce and sells the rest. Aside from her garden, Behija knits traditional Bosnian socks (still popular during the winter), which she sells. Because she knits the socks, she also always has presents ready to give away.

Behija requested her first loan from WWI. She has requested 1500 KM to invest in all businesses.

Journal Entrepreneur: Behija Salihović Location: Grapska, Doboj, Bosnia and Herzegovina Behija turned 67 in 2009, but still works with a smile on her face. Her husband, who was blind, passed away 7 years ago after falling. She lives alone but recently her son got very sick and she used part of the credit she got to help pay his medical bills. She also needs money for her own health problems. Behija keeps a garden for vegetables and potatoes. Due to her son's illness, she has not been able to devote much time to her extra business--knitting traditional socks--so, at the moment she does not have any socks to sell. She recently went to a family wedding and gave socks away as presents. All that she hopes for is good health and all the best.
