"To manage a farm is very difficult, especially when you don't have enough resources to finance most of the farming needs," says Rogelio Apayart, a 47 year old father of two children. He tills a five hectare farm. He owns his farm and all of his harvest is managed well. Some of the harvest is saved for family use and the remainder is sold to rice traders in their village.
He is asking a loan of Php 14,000 from CEVI. He will use the loan to purchase 13 sacks of fertilizers, as well as herbicides. The loan will really help him increase his income.
CEVI aims to help small businesses grow. They provide not just loans to all their clients but training and insurance coverage as well.
