Comfort Aniwaa

Comfort Aniwaa is married with three children and has received an education through junior high school. Comfort is responsible for paying bills and feeding her family.

Comfort operates a local restaurant near the Cape Coast regional hospital, selling a variety of local dishes such as fufu, a food that is made out of cassava and plantain pounded together; she has been in business since 2003.

Comfort’s loan will be used to buy more ingredients, spices and food items for the preparation of food at her restaurant. She hopes to use the new profits from her business to reinvest for the expansion of her trade.

This organization has had very serious delinquency problems brought about by problems with its credit methodology, local environmental shocks including a depletion of local fisheries in its core area of operation (Cape Coast and the Central Province), and insufficient follow up with late clients. Lenders to this business should be aware that there is an increased risk of not getting repaid on this loan due to the challenges facing the Field Partner.
