Tserendejid Magsarjav

Tserendejid Magsarjav is a 37-year-old widow and lives with her two children in the Bayanzurh district of Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Her two children are both local college students. She lives with her two children on the piece of land owned by her parents. They had to move to Tserendejid's parents' place after her husband's recent death.

Tserendejid has a small retail business dealing in women's and men's clothing. She started the retail business with her husband in early 2005. They used to import new trendy clothes from Irkutsk, Russia, a border town where many Russian products pass through, until her husband's death in 2008.

After the loss of her husband, Tserendejid has been renting a small stall in the local Khantalst shopping mall and selling women's underwear imported from China. She now travels to Ereen, a Chinese border town where many Mongolian traders purchase their products from, and buys clothing for her business. Her retail business is the only source of income for the family. She would like to raise her two children without any financial constraints. She requests a loan to purchase more underwear from Ereen for her business.
