The group Jiguisseme is composed of five married women, two of whom live in polygamous families, and the other three, monogamous. The women average 38 years of age and four children each. They live in Kaboila, a rural town of Sikasso prefecture (third administrative region of Mali).

They are on their 19th collaboration with the micro-finance institution Soro Yiriwaso in order to do more in satisfying customers and to increase their sales figures. All the preceding loans have been repaid without a problem.

The group members do a diversity of work, including selling pagnes (colorful West African cloth), néré nuts, charcoal, and sounbala (an ingredient in making sauces).

With this new loan, they intend to buy thirty 100-kg sacks of néré nuts for making sounbala, twenty 100-kg sacks of néré for reselling, fifty sacks of charcoal, and 35 Wax pagnes. Supplies are gotten at the grand marketplace of Sikasso City and in surrounding villages. The merchandise is sold retail, cash or credit accepted, at the grand market of Sikasso City, locally, and door-to-door to customers composed mostly of women

The group members each envision realizing an average monthly profit of 23,000 francs CFA. A portion of the profits will be used for family needs (such as the children's health), and the other portion will be invested in business and used to repay the loan. Their ambition is to expand their businesses.
