Teresa Vásquez Puac

Teresa Vásquez is 56 years old and is married. She is by trade a weaver "making typical skirts for women". She has a workshop with two looms and lives together with her children. She and her husband both work in the same trade and have two employees working in the same activity. She has 12 years experience making skirts in her home, which is located in Chotacaj hamlet, in the Vásquez neighbourhood of the department of Totonicapán , Guatemala. Currently the demand from her customers is growing, but because of the current economic climate she is not able to increase her capital. It's for this reason that Teresa approached the ASDIR Association in order to ask for a loan, with the intention of purchasing primary materials and in this way be able to increase her sales.

La señora Teresa Vásquez tiene 56 años de edad, es Casada de oficios tejedora, “elaboración de cortes típicos para mujeres” cuenta con un taller de 2 telares, habita junto con sus hijos, ella y su Esposo se dedican al mismo oficio cuentan con dos empleados para la misma actividad, lleva 12 años de elaborar cortes en su residencia que se encuentra en el Caserío Chotacaj, de la Aldea Vásquez del departamento de Totonicapán, Guatemala, actualmente la demanda de su clientela a crecido, pero las condiciones económicas en que se encuentra no son suficientes para que el pueda aumentar su capital, por tal razón acudió a la Asociación ASDIR, a solicitar un préstamo, con la intención de comprar materia prima y de esa manera poder aumentar sus ventas.
