M. Arshad Group

Atiya is a 37 year-old lady and a citizen of a city named Lahore, Pakistan. Lahore is famous for its historical places and its Punjabi foods. Atiya is an uneducated lady because she didn’t show interest in education. She is married to Arshad who runs a grocery shop in the community. He has three years of experience in this business. Atiya is applying for a loan to buy groceries for her husband’s grocery shop.

She is the group leader of four other women from her locality. Shahnaz wants a loan to repair her auto-rickshaw (a local three-wheeled motor vehicle). Asia wants a loan to buy cosmetics and a dryer machine for her beauty salon. Bilquis wants a loan to buy another sewing machine for her tailoring center. Shamim wants a loan to buy beams for her shutter business.

This is a group loan. Funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee all loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.





About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee. Under this arrangement, each member of the group supports one another and is responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults. Learn more
