Parveen baji is the wife of Yousaf khan and she resides in the city of Lahore, Pakistan for the past 20 years. She is an uneducated lady as her parents couldn’t afford her education expenses. Her husband is a government employee. He works as a clerk in a government office. Parveen baji operates a bangle-selling business. Most of her customers are her neighbors. Parveen baji has 3 years of experience in this business. She sells variety of bangles (steel and plastic). She is applying for a loan to buy bangles to expand her bangle-selling business.

She is the group leader of three other women from her locality. Mussarat begum baji and Naseem akhtar baji each want a loan to buy auto-rickshaws (local three-wheeled motor vehicle). Nazira baji wants a loan to buy a sewing machine for sewing clothes.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members. Each woman will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
