Ms. Ndèye Ngoné DIAKHATE is a Senegalese woman, 61 years old, who sells palm oil, dried fish, smoked fish, and local grains. She has been in this business for 20 years, so she is very experienced. But she had never before requesting a loan for boosting her work. With the current loan, she’s going replenish her inventory in order to serve her customers better and to earn a good profit, so as to help her husband with day-to-day expenses.

Ms. DIAKHATE is requesting a special IMCEC product, which is called PDEF (the Kiva program for child and family development). It’s for helping the parents of poor children who are in the plan for the Christian Children’s Fund, a partner of IMCEC. Clients benefit from reduced interest rates.

Hi Kiva lenders!

IMCEC (also known as "UIMCEC") is working on putting in place an efficient, well-oiled system for sending journal updates. However, for the moment, they're a bit behind schedule! Please accept the video below in lieu of your regularly scheduled journal update. I hope that, through this video, you will feel a stronger connection to IMCEC and its clients.
