Rosalina

Rosalina is a 26-year-old woman who lives with her husband and children in a rented home. For 9 years, she has been selling the potatoes that she grows in her father’s crop fields. She sells the produce as a street vendor at the main markets in her region. She preferably works on weekends so that she can look after her young son during the week. Fortunately, her parents and sisters help her out with taking care of her son. So far, Rosalina’s business has been lucrative, and she is planning to produce a greater amount of potatoes to boost sales in the future. This is the second time that she requests a loan from MFP, and she is motivated to move forward by working in a solidarity group at her microfinance institute. The money that she is requesting will be invested in purchasing potato sacks and paying for transporting the crops from the farm to the city.

Rosalina tiene 26 años, vive con su hijos y su esposo en una casa arrendada. Desde hace 9 años se dedica a la venta de papa que cosecha de las tierras de cultivo de su padre, y la vende en las principales ferias de su localidad, ofreciendo de manera ambulante su producto. De preferencia trabaja los fines de semana para que los demás días pueda atender a su pequeño hijo, en estas tareas cuenta con el apoyo de sus padres y sus hermanas. Hasta el momento sus ingresos son rentables y Rosalina está planeando para el futuro, producir más cantidad de papas para incrementar sus ventas. Esta es la segunda vez que tiene un préstamo con MFP, y está muy entusiasmada para seguir adelante con el trabajo solidario de su banco comunal. El dinero que solicita lo invertirá en la compra de sacos para empaquetar la papa y el pago del transporte de la chacra a la ciudad.
