Christiana Appiah

Christiana Appiah is thirty-eight years old. She is married and has given birth to four children: two sons and two daughters. She says some of her children are in the junior high school while others are in the senior high school. She lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in a farming/commercial town called Takorase, near Akim Oda in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Christiana works to support her husband financially to provide for the family and especially to meet the children’s school needs. Her husband is a cocoa farmer while she is a trader.

Christiana trades in foodstuffs. She buys foodstuffs such as maize, yam, cassava, plantain, etc. all the way from Techiman in the northern sector. She sells to food vendors and retailers in her community. She has been in business for three years and wants a loan to procure goods in bulk to expand her business. She is hopeful to expand her business and give her children the best of education.
