Zainab was able to meet her families needs.

Entrepreneur: Zainab Harding
Location: Makeni, Sierra Leone

Zainab thanks Kiva for the loan of $1200. She has good business skills, and with the loan was able to diversify her business for additional income. She bought a motorbike to provided transport services to the community and invested part of her loan in other goods such as chicken stock, candies, clothes etc. She supplies female retailers in the local market and collects repayments from them weekly. Zainab earns an average of $173 per month from the motorbike and $200 from the general business. Her profit has increased drastically so she has no problem in paying her loan and meeting other family expenses. Two of her children will join college this semester and she will be able to meet the cost. She has also created employment for one young adult as a motorbike driver.
