Grace Afful

Grace Afful is 28 years old. She is married and has three children. All her children are still in school and her husband is a buyer and seller of diamonds. She lives with her family in a village called Takroase in the eastern region of Ghana. Grace is very hardworking and supportive to her husband in providing food and shelter for her household.

She owns and operates a grocery shop in her neighborhood which stocks items like sugar, vegetable oil, bottled water, skimmed powdered milk and biscuits etc. It has been her dream to make an expansion by adding other foodstuffs to her existing products. With the loan, she wants to purchase more crates of assorted drinks, bags of sugar, cartons of vegetable oil, boxes of biscuits and foodstuffs like tomatoes, smoked fish, dried fish, onions, spices, groundnuts etc. to increase her inventory. She hopes to improve her savings to support her husband in taking care of the children's educational needs. She has been in this business for six years now. Grace belongs to a village bank called 1st Kings.
