Zinabu Nusiru

Zinabu Nusiru trades in cosmetics and clothing materials. She is 42-years old, married and the mother of four kids who are in junior high and basic school. Zinabu’s husband works as a farmer. Zinabu and her family live in a family house at Oda in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Most of the inhabitants of Oda are either into farming or trade in farm products. Very few people run different types of business.

Zinabu buys cosmetics such as powder, assorted pomades, etc. and clothing materials from Accra, a nearby city, and sells in the market square in her community. She also treks to nearby centers to sell through door-to-door sales. She has been in this business for thee year now and wants a loan to increase her working capital so that she can purchase cosmetics in bulk.

Zinabu believes the loan assistance will enable her to reach out to other market centers and eventually help to improve her family's finances. She is a member of a trust bank group called Adehyee Mma (translated, Royals) Trust Group. Members of this group guarantee for one another as social collateral to access the loan and themselves in handling repayment of the loan.
