Leticia Nketia

Leticia Nketia is 30 years old. She is married and mother of one child (a girl). She lives with her husband and the children. Currently her child is in school in the community where they live in the eastern region of Ghana. Her husband is a diamond miner. They live in a community endowed with natural resources like gold and diamonds.

Leticia is a local manufacturer of Soaps. She combines materials like palm oil, soda powder, cocoa pods and coconut oil to create her soaps. Leticia has ten years experience in soap manufacturing. She is not able to produce in large quantities for lack of funds to buy raw materials. She wants to take advantage of the loan facility to buy more raw materials and processing equipment to scale up production. She hopes to increase her income to support her children's education. She belongs to the village bank called ‘Hannah Mma’ which means Hannah’s children.
