Oanh Pham

Oanh Pham is a 35-year-old female living in the town of Nam Định. She is widowed and has one adult child. To make a living, Oanh owns and operates a business venture operating a retail store which specializes in making and selling baskets and brooms. So her main source of income for the business comes primarily from selling bamboo products in the local community. Oanh has been engaged in this business for over eight years and earns approximately 4200000 VND a month from these activities.

In 1999, Oanh joined TYM Fund, a Kiva partner, to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Oanh has successfully repaid a previous loan of 10000000 VND from TYM Fund. This previous loan was used to purchase additional products to sell. Oanh is now requesting a new loan of 20000000 VND which will be used to invest in expanding the business. The loan will be the seventh loan taken out by the borrower from TYM Fund. Oanh plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
