Myangantsetseg Batbayar lives with her mother and younger sister in Arhanghay, one of Mongolia's central provinces. Her mother works in a small barber shop and her sister is a student at a local high school. Myangantsetseg graduated with a bachelor’s degree in law from a local university three years ago. Although she wanted to be a lawyer, she was not able to find a job after graduating.
Myangantsetseg decided to start a small business by herself. In 2006, she rented a small retail stall in a local market and started selling various pants for women and men. She frequently travels to Ereen China, a border town where many goods are purchased, and buys cheap pants for women and men. In addition to her business, she just started an evening masters program in MAU at a local university. She pays the program tuition from her profit.
Myangantsetseg requests a loan to purchase more pants from Ereen, China to increase her business inventory.
