Update from Peru on your loan!

Entrepreneur: Elizabeth Roxana
Location: Ayacucho, Peru

Elizabeth is a member of the Confidence Communal Bank (Banco Comunal Confianza). She is a 27-year-old common-law wife and has two children. She has a stand at the market in the city of Huanta where she sells groceries wholesale and retail and is assisted by a staff.

Elizabeth used her loan of 2,900 soles to buy more products for her small grocery shop in the market. She now has more to sell, and her business has been going well. She had trouble making loan repayments recently because she was really busy with planning her wedding, which just took place about three weekends ago! Now she is feeling more calmed and has more time to focus on her business. Her business has been growing incrementally because of the new products she was able to add to her supply. Her dream is to have her own home, have internet in her house, build a large business and work on growing it. Elizabeth’s favorite things about FINCA are the ‘charlas’ (community discussions) they offer and the loans themselves.

Below is a photo taken last week of Elizabeth and her two children.
