Like most Filipina housewives, Anita Tubera doesn’t want her time to be idle. Anita lives with her husband Facundo in a small rented place in Facundo St., Pasay City. She is 38 years old.

Anita owns a 'sari-sari' (general) store but she makes a lot of earnings from her direct selling business. She gets cosmetics and apparel from prominent companies (Avon, Sarah Lee, Board Walk, etc.) on consignment and passes them to customers on the installment basis. At times, Anita also provides home-based manicure and pedicure services to clients. All these activities guarantee her more than P20,000 a month in earnings.

Anita joined the Center for Community Transformation (CCT) Credit Cooperative only last year but is already enjoying her stay with fellow women entrepreneurs. Anita needs a loan in the amount of P 15,000. She wants to buy a refrigerator for her general store so she can offer cold drinks and other refreshments to her neighbors who come to shop. She will also use some of the funds to buy more products to sell at her store.

Anita wishes that all her children be able to manage college.
