Your Mission...
As an up-beat, motivated, and creative individual, you will be the backbone of our day-to-day operations. You’ll have the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team, driven by our mission of connecting people through lending for the sake of alleviating poverty. Your role is critical to the leveraging the efficiency and appeal of the Kiva office and providing a space for our dedicated employees and volunteers to do their best work.

Your Responsibilities...

  • Provide a warm welcome to Kiva office visitors and walk-ins
  • Design and implement office policies
  • Ensure the Kiva office is kept in a clean and orderly fashion, coming up with creative ways to encourage staff to pick up after themselves
  • Manage office budget; anticipate needs and procurement of office supplies, food and drinks, equipment, and furniture; verify receipt of supply
  • Answer main Kiva phone line and voice mail, responding to requests for information and/or forwarding messages to appropriate staff; ensure efficient transfer of calls through automated system, making sure calls are getting to the correct location
  • Distribute incoming mail and coordinate outgoing mail, including use of courier services, purchase of additional postage, and distribution of interoffice mail
  • Manage relationships with Kiva’s numerous vendor accounts
  • Create and maintain master calendar of in-house meetings. Coordinate meetings as needed (e.g., scheduling conference rooms, coordinating food and drink, other logistics)
  • Manage facility issues including general office maintenance, and work closely with IT to ensure phone lines and voice mail are set up and working
  • Assist in coordination of special company events, monthly all-staff meetings, recognition/thank you lunches, and individual department events
  • Contribute to business discussions and decisions

Your Qualifications...

  • College degree
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in office administration
  • Strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other commonly used software/web applications
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Cheerful presence, great interpersonal skills, business maturity, discretion, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A proven team player
