Kiva Gift Certificates are affordable, impactful and reusable!

There is no more unique gift than participating in the microfinance movement in a personal way, and there is no easier way to give the gift that really does keep on giving.

The beauty of giving a Kiva Gift Certificate is that the gift can be loaned again and again, each time helping another enterpreneur work their way out of poverty.

A Kiva Gift Certificate is an easy way to "give a Kiva loan" to a friend or family member.

Giving a Kiva Gift Certificate is much like giving someone credit at a store. They can spend the value of the gift in any way they like - and get to choose the entrepreneur they would like to support with a loan.

When the loan is repaid, the recipient then chooses what they would like to do with the repaid loan funds - reloan them to a different entrepreneur, or withdraw them from the system completely and buy something for themselves!

1. Go to www.Kiva.org and click on "Kiva Gifts" at the top of the page.


2. Under "Gift Certificates", click "Purchase now."


3. Follow the instructions to purchase the Gift Certificate. You can purchase multiple gift certificates at one time, or, if you'd like the recipient to receive their gift via email with a personal message, you'll need to purchase them one at a time.


4. Click "Purchase Gift Certificates."


5. The gift giver will then be taken to "My Basket". At this point they can return to the Kiva Gifts page to purchase more Gift Certificates, or click on the LEND tab to make a loan, before checking out through PayPal.
